QASA Receive a Impumelelo Merit Award

On Sunday 16th May 2010, QASA members attended the Impumelelo Social Initiative Awards held at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town. These awards are made every year to outstanding public and civil society sector initiatives that are setting the standard and achieving great results.
QASA were proud to receive a merit award for “developing the full capacity of persons with disabilities” which was collected by Raven Benny, QASA chairperson.
Receiving an award of this nature from Impumelelo is a great privilege and are only awarded, after intensive and thorough research, to honour those projects and public sector organisations (NGO's, local government) that benefit society through the upliftment, development, poverty and aids alleviation, environmental renewal, climate change mitigation, or job creation work that they do. QASA AGM 2010
The QASA AGM for 2010 will be held in Durban at the Suncoast Casino on the 11th September. The AGM will begin at 10h00 on the 11th September in the Colony Room at Suncoast Conference Centre, and all members are welcome to attend.
